Mitra Sumara, the multi-legged, psychedelic Persian-style funk band, will perform a late show on Thursday, July 21, at 11 p.m., at Nublu, 62 Ave. C in the East Village of Manhattan. This will be our first appearance at this respected progressive music venue. On the gig will be vocalist and leader Yvette Perez, trombonist Peter Zummo, guitarist Julian Maile, hammer dulcimer player Bill Ruyle, drummer Kaveh and keyboardist Jim Duffy. Also on the bill, at 9 p.m., will be trumpeter Matt Shulman.
